Why The New flybuys Is A RipOff
Coles has revamped its flybuys loyalty scheme, changing the way you can earn points and redeem them. But the most
important feature of the scheme remains the same: you will have to spend a massive amount of money to reap any
longterm benefits, and you'll be sacrificing a lot of personal information to do so. We'll tell you
how to make the most of flybuys if you do sign up, but you really need to examine whether it's worth it.

Simple steps will cut your electricity bill by $715
Australia has a very complicated set of electricity rules and they're rigged against you.
There is a move to bring some fairness to the system and with it, smaller price increases in the future.
But you don't have to wait for that, you can neutralise the price rises now.
And you can do it without sacrificing your standard of living or forking out a fortune on more efficient appliances.

Repair Replace Refund
The ACCC has launched a media campaign urging people to be aware of their rights when they have bought a product that is
faulty or doesn't perform as described or a service that isn't right. The campaign is in response to research that
shows only 10 per cent of consumers understand their rights when it comes to a faulty product or a substandard service.
The ACCC's Repair Replace Refund are a set of legal guides that specify how far your rights extend when chasing a
replacement, refund or repair. Visit the website

Australian Banking Reforms
From 1 January 2012 credit providers will need to give you a key facts sheet on home loans,
if you ask for one. Banks are exploiting a loophole in new federal laws and
failing to give customers the one-page cheat sheet
they need to compare mortgages.
Key facts sheets will give you the information you need in a set
format so it is easier for you to shop around and compare loans. They will also highlight
important information such as the total amount to be paid back over the life of the loan.
